Senior College Unit –

Eligibility :

  • No candidates shall be admitted to enter the First Year of the B. Com. Degree Course unless he / she passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education Board or University with English as a passing subject.
  • No candidate shall be admitted to the annual examination of the First Year B. Com. unless he / she has satisfactorily kept two terms for the course at the college affiliated to this University.
  • No candidate shall be admitted to the annual examination of the Second Year unless he/she has kept two terms satisfactorily for the course at the college affiliated to this University.
  • No candidate shall be admitted to the Third year of th B. Com. Degree Course unless he / she has passed in all the papers at the First Year B. Com. Examination and has passed in all the papers at the First Year B. Com Examination and has satisfactorily kept terms for the second year and also two terms for the third year of B. Com. satisfactorily in a college affiliated to this University.

Rules for Admission :

(a) General –

  • As a rule, fresh admission will be granted at the commencement of the first term only.
  • Application for admission should be made in the prescribed form and should be accompanied by the remittance of necessary fee. (Students are advised to see the fee chart put on the notice board.)
  • If the admission is not granted, the amount less remittance charges will be returned. If admission is granted, this amount will be treated as a part payment of fees.
  • If admission is granted, but not availed of by the applicant, this amount will be forfeited. Students are advised to send / submit their applications for admission immediately after the declaration of the result of the last preceding qualifying examinations and in any case not laterthan 10 days the commencement of the term.

(b) Student coming from other Board / University –

  • A student coming from any other Board or University in the Maharashtra State has to obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Savitribai Phule Pune University. For this purpose he / she has to apply to the Registrar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune -7 in a prescribed form duly filled in with a fee Rs. 3001- and with the following certificates through the College.

(a) Migration Certificate, (b) Passing Certificate, (c) Statement of Marks, (d) Character Certificate

  • On receipt of the above, the University will grant the applicant an Eligibility Certificate which is to be submitted to the college office.
  • A student coming from a University / Board outside Maharashtra State has to apply to the Registrar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, for an Eligibility Certificate, in the prescribed form available in the University Office, together with a fee of Rs. 500/-and Migration Certificate from the University previously attended.

A.T.K.T. Rules :

  • As far as A.T.K.T. is concerned, a student who fails in two theories and one practical head of passing at F.Y.B.Com may be admitted to S.Y.B.Com. likewise a student who fails in the two theory and one practical head of passing at S.Y.B.Com may be admitted to T.Y.B.Com. But a student passing S.Y.B.Com but fails in any subject at F.Y.B.Com cannot be admitted to T.Y.B.Com.
  • At F.Y.B.Com. level Physical Education is Compulsory and at S.Y.B.Com. level Environmental Awareness Passing is Compulsory. If candidate fails his result is declared as Fail.

Junior College Unit :

Introduction :

As per the policy of the Government of Maharashtra the College has established the Junior College Unit from June 2013.

Eligibility :

Admissions to Junior College of Commerce & Science of std. XI & XII are restricted to one division each on permanently non grant & self-finance basis.

Students who have passed SSC examination (Std.X) of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education are eligible to apply for admission but admissions will be given on the basis of Merit and Reservation. Students who have passed Public Examination (Std. X) of other Board, that is other than Mahrashtra Board, will not be admitted unless they obtain Eligibility Certificate from Maharashra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Nashik. For this purpose students are advised to obtain migration certificate from the Board from which they have passed SSC Exam, and after getting the same they are required to apply in the prescribed form to the Divisional Secretary. Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Nasik for Eligibility certificate.

Medium of Instructions :

The medium of instruction for all the subjects, including “Environment Education” is English. The subjects and divisions allotted at the time of admission to Std. XI will be continued at Std. XII in the same medium. (Note : No change in the subjects Mill be allowed after Admission.)

Attendance & Training :

In addition to attending classroom lectures, students have to undergo training of NCC or physical Training (P.T.) and Practical / Visits / Guest lectures / orals etc.

Uniform : Uniform is compulsory, while in the college campus.

Enclosures with Admission Form :

  • School Leaving Certificate in Original.
  • Marksheet of SSC Exam. In original, with one attested xerox copy.
  • Three copies of passport size recent colour photograph.

Please Note :

  • Admission will not be given without submission of school leaving certificate in Original.
  • The attested xerox copy of the marksheet must be of the same size as the admission form.
  • The original copy of School Leaving Certificate will Not be returned to student in any case. It is kept for college record.
